Rob was invited to develop two sculptures for
Ypeople community garden at Branston Court in Glasgow. The project was sponsored
by BBC programme 'Beechgrove Garden' as part of their community gardens scheme.

The residents asked if one of the sculptures could be based on the Ypeople logo, so Rob developed an abstracted design ' fig 1 ' that would represent the ethos of the organisation and complement the overall garden design.

With the second sculpture Rob wanted to create an organic form based on a leaf opening out. The leaf form represents the aspirations of the Ypeople community to grow and develop. The concept was inspired by organic cell structures found in nature.
